The dates

The Annual Meeting is listed for Monday 18 to Friday 22 January 2027 at the Congress Centre, according to Davos Klosters tourism and the Davos Congress Centre calendar.

The organiser has not published its own 2027 page or theme yet. For reference, the 2026 theme — A Spirit of Dialogue — was announced in October 2025.

How the week usually runs

In 2026 the Opening Concert was on Monday evening, Special Addresses from heads of state ran Tuesday to Thursday in the Congress Hall, and closing remarks came at noon on Friday. Many participants arrive on Sunday.

Most Promenade venues opened on Monday and ran into Thursday or Friday.

Getting to Davos

The train from Zurich Airport takes about 2 hours 35 minutes, with a change at Landquart. Davos has two stations, Davos Dorf and Davos Platz. By car it is roughly 2.5 hours.

Security checks on the roads in can add time during the week.

Security zone

In 2026 police checked people and vehicles on every road into Davos and restricted the areas around the Congress Centre, Congress Hotel, Hilton Garden Inn, AlpenGold, Belvédère, the ice stadium and the Lago heliport. Hotels and shops stayed open.

Badges and access

Participation in the Annual Meeting itself is by invitation only. Unofficial guides describe the white badge as the one that opens the Congress Centre, with hotel badges covering the secure zone and its hotels.

Many side venues sit outside that zone. Cloudflare Haus, The Hub Davos and the FQ Lounge all said no official or hotel badge was needed in their listings.

Flying in privately

In 2026 the airspace within 25 nautical miles of Davos was restricted from 16 to 24 January, and Samedan airport required prior permission for every flight. The 2027 rules have not been published yet.

More than 200 official sessions were livestreamed in 2026 on the organiser's website and its YouTube and LinkedIn channels. Some side venues stream too — look for the Livestream tag in the event list.

What's different for 2027

• The organisers discontinued the public Open Forum on 15 September 2026, after 23 editions.
• Davos capped temporary event builds and venue conversions at 125 projects for 2027, down from 132 in 2026, so Promenade space is tighter.
• The organisers plan a separate high-level meeting with the Government of South Africa in spring 2027.
• Reports in January 2026 said the organisers were discussing other host cities for the future. The 2027 meeting is still listed in Davos.
